Our client was flying out of PHL and decided to park their car with an offsite company (ABC). The driver dropped them at the airport and then totaled their car on the way back to the lot. (ABC) claimed not responsible and told client to turn the claim into their own insurance company. Client was responsible for the deductible, the difference in price totaled car and replacement car, and premium went up because a claim against them removed any claims free discounts.
Another story in the news is a policy owner that left his car at a dealer for an oil change. An employee of the dealer accidently killed another employee while moving the car.
